Most users will have a dynamic IP address that will automatically change periodically, however you can also try unplugging your internet router for 5-10 seconds to reset the IP address.

Do I need to be connected to the internet via Wi-Fi to be located? Can I be connected to the internet via a cable?
You do not need to be connected to the internet via Wi-Fi, you just have to have Wi-Fi enabled on your device (and able to see available Wi-Fi networks). You can still be connected to the internet via an Ethernet cable and have Wi-Fi on at the same time.
